CHARLESTON ATLANTIC PRESBYTERY
PUERTO RICO MISSION TRIP
March 9 – 16, 2019
The mission team will be working with the Rev. Danilie Hillerio, Local Disaster Response Coordinator from the Northwest Presbytery of Puerto Rico. Many of the worksites will be directed toward church needs and home reconstruction. Work will more than likely include painting, debris removal, door/window replacement, roofing, and other construction-type skills; BUT also important is those with a ministry of presence and have experience working with children and youth.
The group will be hosted through a local Villa, apartments with kitchen, double beds, bunk beds, and sofa beds.
Participants do not need to speak Spanish.
Participants do not need a passport.
The trip is limited to 20 people.
Cost: $1,500 (includes supplies, airfare, lodging, transportation, food)
$100 deposit due by January 15th; balance due February 1st.
Participants are encouraged to seek financial support from their home congregation and presbytery neighborhoods.
